Brahmins Vegetable Kurma

  1. Potato, Tomato, Carrot, Onion (washed, cleaned, and chopped) – Total 400g (2 cup).
  2. Soaked green peas (in fresh water for three hours) – 100g (1/2 cup)
  3. Water – 600ml (3 cup)
  4. Coconut milk- 120ml (1/2 cup)
  5. Peeled garlic – 8 Nos
  6. Cloves (as required)
  7. Ginger – 1 inch piece
  8. Green Chilly – 2 Nos.
  9. Coconut oil – 8ml (1/2 tbsp)
  10. Mustard – 2.5g (1/2 tsp)
  11. Brahmins Vegetable Curry Masala Powder – 12gm (2tbsp)
  12. Salt to taste
  13. Curry leaves – 2 springs
  14. Coriander leaves – optional.

Preparation method

  • Take the soaked green peas and chopped vegetables in a pressure cooker along with water, salt and cook till 2 whistles.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds.
  • When it pops, add green Chillies, chopped ginger, garlic, curry leaves and sauté when it turns crisp.
  • Pour the tempering to the cooked vegetables and add Brahmins Vegetable Curry Masala Powder
  • Stir and bring to a boil over low heat. Add the coconut milk and stir well (Do not allow to boil).
  • Remove from heat and garnish with coriander leaves. Tasty vegetable curry ready to serve.
