Brahmins Sambar Powder

Sambar Powder

Ingredients

  1. Toor Dal – ½ cup(60g)
  2. Chopped Vegetables – 2 cup (300g)
  3. Brahmins Sambar Powder – 3 tablespoon (18gm)
  4. Coconut oil – ½ tablespoon (8ml)
  5. Tomato – 1 Nos.
  6. Ladyfinger – 2 Nos
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Mustard (as required)
  9. Turmeric (as required)
  10. Dry Red Chilly (as required)
  11. Curry Leaves (as required)
  12. 1 cup of water – 250ml

Preparation method

  • Boil the washed Toor dal in a cup of water (10min) 3-4 whistles in a pressure cooker (5 min).
  • Add the chopped vegetables along with salt and a pinch of turmeric powder in 3 cups of water & cook.
  • When it is half boiled (10min) add tomatoes & ladyfingers to it and boil well (10min). Add Brahmins Sambar Powder and stir to boil well (3 min).
  • Heat oil in a pan and add mustard, curry leaves and red Chilly. Once it is ready pour it directly into the sambar.

Now delicious Brahmins Sambar is ready!
